Lyrical Content and The Dark Tower[]

  • The first track and album title refer to The Crimson King, the main antagonist of the series. The song speaks from Randall Flagg's point of view, about coming to the end and hoping to watch The Dark Tower fall. Hansi said that he also refers to The Crimson King as Satan.
  • "The Gunslinger" is about Roland of Gilead, the protagonist of the series and covers his story and the plot of the final volume.
  • "Terror Train" is about Blaine The Mono, sung from his viewpoint, his craving for riddles and his final trip.
  • "Seize the Day" is based upon The Lord of the Rings, which in turn inspired The Dark Tower Series.
