The Man With No Name Trilogy is a set of three movies directed by Sergio Leone and starring Clint Eastwood. The three movies are, A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965), and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (1966). They belong to a genre of movies known as "Spaghetti Westerns". The musical scores for each of the movies are considered to be classic and were composed by Ennio Morricone.
The plots of the three movies are only loosely connected, following the journeys of Clint Eastwood's character, the Man with No Name. The series became so popular that it was spun-off into a series of books written by Joe Millard and Brian Fox.
Connection to the Dark Tower Series[]
The character of the Man With No Name became the primary inspiration for the character of Roland Deschain. Roland shares the Man With No Name's sense of justice and soft-spokenness. The Man With No Name was also a habitual smoker, a habit that Roland also shares.
