Sergio Leone is an Italian director, producer, and screenwriter. He is most famous for his "Spaghetti Westerns", a genre of movies that are ostensibly set in the American Old West, but are actually made in Italy. His most famous movies are the Man With No Name trilogy: A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Connection to the Dark Tower Series[]

Stephen King often tried to imitate the mood and atmosphere from Leone's movies. The Dark Tower Series incorporates many of the elements from a Western, including the use of revolving pistols and horses. The Man With No Name also became one of the main inspirations for the character of Roland Deschain.
