The Ironwood Forest is a vast forest that surrounds the town of Tree. It gives work to most men of Tree, as it provides hunting and woodcutting. In The Wind Through the Keyhole, it is where Big Ross dies, and where Tim Ross is led by The Covenant Man on his quest.
There was a rumor along the folk that a dragon resided further in the Forest, but Tim disproved it.
