Clint Eastwood is an American actor and director. He was born on May 31, 1930. He is most famous for his roles as the Man With No Name in the The Man With No Name Trilogy and as Inspector Harry Callahan in the Dirty Harry movies. He has also directed such successful movies as Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, and Letters From Iwo Jima.
He has seven children with five different mothers and has been married twice. He served as the mayor of his hometown, Carmel-by-the-sea, in California from 1986 to 1988.

Clint Eastwood, as the Man With No Name, serves as the primary inspiration for Roland Deschain. Eastwood was allowed a great deal of freedom in portraying the character, so Eastwood is just as responsible for the creation of that character as Sergio Leone.
